Chocolate biscuits



Chocolate biscuits
Preparation time: 20 minutes Cooking time: 10-12 minutes Difficulty: easy

4 Servings

1 cup (125 g) confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 large egg white
1/2 cup (75 g) chopped toasted hazelnuts
2 tbsp. (15 g) potato starch(or cornstarch)
1 tsp. (5 g) baking powder
1/2 tsp. (3 ml) vanilla extract

Heat the oven to 340°F (170°C). sift together the confectioners’ sugar, cocoa, starch and baking powder in a bowl. stir in the egg white and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the hazelnuts and stir.
On a lightly floured work surface, form the mixture into a log about 1 1/4 inches (3 cm) in diameter. Cut into slices 3/8 inch (1 cm) thick.
Butter and flour a baking sheet, or line with parchment paper. Arrange the biscuits on baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. let biscuits cool completely before removing from the pan.
